The Basics of the Scrip Program

  • CVC families and friends buy retail gift cards through our scrip program at face value.  You can choose from nearly 400 national retail stores where you already shop!  (See available retailers)
  • CVC buys the gift cards at up to 10% less than face value (varies by retailer).
  • The difference between face value and what CVC pays is split between CVC and the scrip buyer.  You will receive up to a 3% tuition rebate through your scrip purchases.
Here’s an Example
Mrs. Smith is doing some boutique shopping, so she buys a $100 Downtown Visalia gift card for $100 through CVC’s Scrip office. She just earned $3 because Downtown Visalia gift cards are available to Scrip at 3% less than face value. $1.50 goes to CVC, $1.50 goes to Mrs. Smith as a tuition rebate. She will do the same thing when she needs cleaning supplies at Target, and earn $1.75 for herself and $1.75 for the school just by using a $100 Target GiftCard to pay for her purchases.

The last two days of the Washington DC trip, many sights were seen!
They included: The Bible Museum, the WWII Memorial, the White House, the MLK Memorial, Roosevelt's Memorial, the Thomas Jefferson memorial, Arlington National Cemetery, including the tomb of the unknown soldier, the Kennedy Family graves, the Iwo Jima Memorial, and a stop in front of the United States Capitol.
Have you been to any of these places? What was most impactful for you?

A week ago Team Guatemala 2021 (including Sra. B) made it there safe and sound!
This year they are not living in houses, but at a mission house instead. The students are bonding and loving every minute of sites and serving alongside the missionaries with Students International!

Fun Fact #1: From the back porch of Mt. Vernon you can see across the bay to Maryland.

FF#3: Some of the trees on the bowling green were planted by Washington and still exist today.

FF#4: The Marine Corp. was established in November of 1775 and have defended our freedoms ever since.

8th graders went to Mt. Vernon yesterday and learned about our faithful first president, George Washington. They also went to the Lincoln Memorial and the Vietnam memorial, and learned a bit about Albert Einstein.

Yesterday 8th graders started at Appomattox Court House National Park where on April 9, 1865 Robert E. Lee, surrendered his men to Ulysses S. Grant.  They explored Monticello where Thomas Jefferson lived.
See that big rock? It shows all the property Jefferson had!
A lot of rain and a lot of fun anyway. 🙂 #cvcsummer
