***Angels We Have Heard On High***

Lyrics

angels we have heard on high, Sweetly singing o'er the plains
and the mountains in reply, echoing their joyous strains.

chorus: gloria in excelsis deo Gloria in excelsis deo!

Shepherds, why this jubilee? Why your joyous strains prolong?
what the galdsome tidings be which inspire your heav'nly song?

chorus: gloria in excelsis deo Gloria in excelsis deo!

come to bethlehem, and see him whose birth the angels sing:
come, adore on bended knee, christ the lord, the new born king.

chorus: gloria in excelsis deo Gloria in excelsis deo!

History

Angels We Have Heard On High is a very old traditional song. It has been sung in churches for many many years. It is a favoirite among Most people. No one knows exactly who wrote it or where it came from. But I am sure if he/she were alive today they would be greatly praised. It is a beautiful hymn and it is a blessing to God.
